What is apricity?
'Apricity' is an old term meaning "the warmth of the sun in winter". While it’s no longer used in today’s terminology, it suits Kacchako perfectly!
How does an advent work?
According to Wikipedia and the Oxford Dictionary, an Advent Calendar is a calendar containing small numbered flaps that count the days to Christmas through December. This project will use envelopes/boxes and counting 12 days. This will also be a blind merch advent—meaning you will not know what the merch inside will look like until after they have been shipped and revealed on December 1-12, 2025.
You mentioned this is a blind merch advent. Will we at least know what is inside?
Yes! Before preorders open, we will list what merch items will be in each bundle, along with which contributor is making each item. The final design will be the primary mystery. All merch items will be safe for work (SFW).
When will merch reveals happen?
The merch Advent accounts will post daily reveals from December 1st through December 12th, 2025.
What is an anthology?
According to Merriam-Webster, an anthology is a collection of selected literary pieces. For this project, writers will write up to 7.5k words related to the Project's theme: Winter mythology and folklore. Combined, this PDF will have over 75k words.
What will be in the anthology PDF?
There will be a safe for work (SFW), not safe for work (NSFW), and a dark/problematic section. All stories will be related to the theme of winter mythology and folklore.
Which folklore and mythology will be seen in this project?
All kinds from everywhere! This project aims to represent as many myths and folklore around the world.
Will the project be opening applications for contributors or mods?
No. This project is invite-only with pre-selected contributors and mods.
Will we know who is in this project?
Yes. Contributors will be revealed in November, so keep an eye out on our socials!
